As usual, the difference between the intended time of departure and the actual time of departure was about 2 hours, which obviously reduced the total time we had in the zoo, but it was great fun all the same. You can rely on elders to lose their way too.. it took them about 1 hour to get to the zoo gates.
It was so tiring to get there that I fell asleep when we walked in. So I probably missed the reptiles .. ho hum. But it seems Harsh enjoyed scaring them all with his favorite "Boo". I am sure they are all shivering in fright still.
But as soon as I heard the first whoop from an ape, I was up. And then I saw monty or rather monty's brothers and sisters. Woweeee.... I really loved it.
I saw most characters from my book - Sheru the lion, Zebu the Zebra, Lambu the giraffe, Hippy the Hippo and Monty the monkey. Missing in action were Rina the Rhino and Jumbo the elephant. Hmmm... I am sure I will see them sometime soon. Harsh is a big fan of Lambu the giraffe and we hung around till late till it was time to go home. The elders were acting very tired - I guess they are not used to walking this much.
