A balancing act

Yep...over the past few weeks I have been learning to sit upright on my own. I can do that quite well now without toppling over or needing any back support.

So playing has become a lot more fun now. I can lean forward to pick up the toys and then get back in the position to enjoy them.

I can now with a little support stand up too and that means I can now play some interesting games. One of my favorite games involves the center table and a tea coster. The object of the game is to bang your fists on the coster till it falls down. Every time it falls down, a point is registered to the player. The person holding the player ( either dad or mum) then picks up the coster and places it strategically on the table for the next round.

This is a game of extreme skill - remember the player is unable to stand on their own and are held by their pesky parents. Also, the patience of the parents is very limited and they aren't as amused after 1o mins or so. So, you have to really speed up your banging in order to maximize your points. A little war cry with the game does not go amiss either - a bit like the All Blacks' Haka.

It is unlikely that this event will be featured in 2012 Olympics, but if it is can I get a credit for it ?
