Weekly update (28-Apr to 4th May)

Hmmm.... usually I write every 2nd or 3rd day. But since Dad has started work at this large Investment Bank, he finds very little time to update stuff.

So let me start with what happened last week. Last Saturday, we went to the British Museum. We originally wanted to go to the London Zoo, but we were so much delayed in our journey that we ended up going to something which we thought we'd finish pretty quickly. Dad loved it, but Harsh was acting impossible the whole day. Cant say if Urvi aunty really enjoyed it. Grandpa had stayed home to watch the Cricket World Cup final.

On Sunday, we went to Aarav's party. Rimple aunty had scheduled it for Sunday because she feared no one would turn up if it was on the same day as World Cup final. All I can say is.. Rimple aunty you are too optimistic. There was not a chance in hell that India would have reached the final. The party was in Wembley and we trekked all the way up there. Unfortunately, we couldnt stay for long because I felt uneasy after a while and when the DJ started playing music, it was unbearable. Dad and mom had to make a swift exit.

On monday, the feeling of uneasiness continued and as expected it turned for worse. Mom had to rush back as my fever went as high as 104 degrees. She was really really worried the whole day and probably cried a bit too. The doctor provided another prescription for my chest cold, which I suspect was the major cause of my illness.

The fever subsided a bit in the night, but continued the next day. Mom stayed at home with me. Neither I nor her had slept the night before because of my fever. But luckily, it started going down and I was my sprightly self by the evening.

Wednesday was back at nursery. Clearly Amy and Becky had missed me much and I had missed them too. I played the whole day with very little rest in between.

Thursday was very much the same. Dad came home early to take me to get my X-ray done. I was supposed to have cried to help the doc get a better pic... but I did not. I was smiling all the way through even when they were holding me down for the X-ray. I didnt see dad in the evening on Thursday. Lately, Yash monopolizes his Thu evenings to go to the Swimming pool. Yash is a water baby and dad reckons its the hardest job in the world to get Yash out of a water body.

Finally friday and I spent the whole day looking forward to the long weekend. This meant more London trips and more fun with my cousins. Mom was looking forward to a good rest and I was keen to ensure that she got that. I stayed true to my promise and I only woke up once in the night.

Saturday... hmmm.... read my next entry for that.
